About fluidiQ by Magnalytix

Electronics reliability, applied to immersion cooling.

We help teams understand the environment around immersed electronics. Our work brings together continuous electrical monitoring, laboratory testing, and research.

Who we are

Focused on electrical reliability in production immersion fluids.

fluidiQ brings Magnalytix’s electronics reliability experience to the fluids surrounding electronics in production immersion systems.

We study how those fluids—and the materials, residues, and operating conditions they encounter—affect the electrical environment around immersed hardware. Our work connects continuous monitoring with laboratory testing to help teams recognize changes, investigate their causes, and make informed decisions about fluid performance in service.

What we do

Our instruments, laboratory work, and research connect the questions you ask before deployment with the measurements you follow in service.

Continuous monitoring

Immersion Canary follows electrical changes in representative test structures and measures the fluid’s volume resistivity. Those measurements help teams track conditions in single-phase and two-phase immersion systems over time.

Monitoring helps show when the electrical environment is changing. It works alongside laboratory analysis, which is needed to investigate the cause.

Laboratory testing

We help evaluate how immersion fluids, materials, and components work together. Our testing covers fluid validation, material compatibility, contamination, manufacturing residues, and fluid aging and oxidation.

We can develop a test plan around your application, from comparing candidate materials to investigating a specific reliability question.

Research and collaboration

Our research examines questions such as how fluid oxidation affects the electrical environment around immersed electronics. Controlled studies help us explore those questions under defined conditions.

We share technical work through presentations, research resources, and industry collaboration, with published findings and ongoing studies clearly identified.

Who we work with

From fluid development to data center operations.

We support teams developing immersion fluids, designing tanks and cooling systems, supplying materials and components, and operating data centers. Each approaches immersion from a different angle, and the testing or monitoring needs to reflect that.

The starting point is the question you need to answer. You may be comparing fluids, checking material compatibility, investigating process residues, or trying to understand a change in electrical measurements. We help turn that question into a practical test plan, a monitoring approach, or a combination of both.

Open Compute Project

We contribute to shared resources and technical discussions that help the immersion community learn from one another.

Open Compute Project (OCP) Bronze Member badge

Magnalytix is an OCP Bronze Member.

The Open Compute Project brings people together to share work on computing infrastructure. Our participation includes the Material Compatibility Workstream, where fluid and material questions are part of the conversation about immersion cooling.

Through that work, fluidiQ helped build and continues to help maintain the open-source OCP Material Compatibility Database. It gives the community a shared resource for exploring material compatibility information and the references behind it.
